Our individual musical history dates back to our grade school years in the Milwaukee area. In 1972 our guitar playing and singing brought us together on weekends, performing with bands in local clubs and around the state of Wisconsin. Two years later we were married, continuing to perform music of all styles - from classic rock and oldies, to country and standards - as we raised our three children in Muskego, Wisconsin.
From 1990 to 1997 we performed as a duo, replacing live musicians with a computer. Robb programmed all the instruments and the lighting system to accompany our guitars and voices.
In January of 1997 - as our last child was preparing to complete his Christian high school education - we made a decision to retire from music. Most of our musical equipment was sold, including the recording studio we had built in our basement. We held on to two guitars, a keyboard and guitar amplifier for possible future use.
It was not until 10 years later - when we retired from our teaching careers - that those instruments were used again. This time we would not play secular music, but Christian music, old and new.
In the fall of 2007, we fulfilled a dream of becoming full-time RVers to travel and see the country. Months went by before we realized we were not just on a sightseeing adventure, but we were being led into a traveling music ministry.
We believe that we are living testimonies of Proverbs 16:9, “A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure.” You see, our plans were to retire but God directed them to be re-fired for Him!
In the fall of 2008, we left Wisconsin for the winter season with new musical gear, a new purpose and vision. As we performed, people asked if we had CDs for sale --- we did not, so we purchased equipment that enabled us to record in our trailer while we traveled. We are pleased to have completed four God honoring CDs. We continue to travel this beautiful country, performing Gospel music at RV resorts, churches and other Christian functions as well as worship services at motorcycle rallies.
We enjoy summers in Wisconsin, spending time with our family but still singing, on a more limited basis. When we returned to our Wisconsin property in the spring of 2016, we built a recording studio in our pole shed. Our first task was to finish mixing and mastering our fourth CD. Later that summer we had our first recording clients, who recorded two songs. This new endeavor is challenging but we are excited to see God's plan unfold.
We are truly blessed and thank God for His sufficiency.
